Gustav Theodor Fechner (1801 â 1887), German experimental psychologist, was the first theorist claiming that it is possible to scientifically measure the mind and its relation to matter.
In his fundamental book Elements of Psychophysics Fechner described techniques on how to measure mental processes, leading to the WeberâFechner law.
