Egyptians

Egyptians took their dreams very seriously as dreams were believed to be oracles through which their Gods communicated. Egyptians divided their dreams into three different categories in which the dream might 1) demand a religious action, 2) make a revelation or warn the dreamer and 3) come to the dreamer in a ritualistic setting.
Regardless of its category, however, oftentimes Egyptians would undergo a long journey to lie down on "dream bed" where their Gods would be more "attuned" and receptive to bestow upon them advice or healing needed.
